Module 4: Truth - Resilience
In Module 4, our Role Models opened up and shared their most challenging moments in life, and how they overcame them and built resilience.
In this exercise, we want to reflect on when you were faced with challenges and had to show resilience and strength and how that made you a better person, and more equipped to deal with any future struggles.
Write in your journal or diary about a time when you had to be resilient:
Think about a challenging situation you went through.
Write down in detail what the challenge was, and what made that situation challenging for you?
How did you feel?
Do not only write down your feelings at that time, also put the reasons why you would feel that way.
What did you do to change the situation you were in? How did you get out of it?
Recall what the solution was that you came to in this situation and what actions did you take. It’s okay if you weren’t able to overcome the challenge as well, write about the consequences and how you dealt with them.
How did you feel after going through that challenging situation?
Compare how you felt about the situation before taking action to how you felt after you tried to address it regardless of the outcome. How did you develop your resilience by going through this experience?
How can you show resilience everyday?
Reflect on your thought process when you faced that challenging situation and the actions you took. Can you summarize them into practical tips that you can apply everyday when you face other challenges? List them down.
